2015 will be The Year of the Sheep, 2 of my closest fellow"Sheep" and I plan to start the year off with gusto. Counting down 10 days until V and Em jump on the plane for a long, long voyage to visit Keely in the sub-tropical paradise of Okinawa.
Want to join us on our trip? We'll be chronicling our adventures with stories, pictures and videos so that our friends can live vicariously and/or laugh at us along the way.
What are our plans?
Well, a few of the items on our 'MUST DO' list include:
- The Hip Hop Bus - reading the User's Guide has already inspired hours of entertainment but alas, the auto-translation seems to have been updated by a human
- Enjoy nature daily - beaches, hikes to waterfalls, snorkeling or possibly scuba.
- Try new foods! Everything from traditional Okinawan cuisine to the "taco rice" that has resulted from creative adoption of U.S. influences on the island.
- Learn something new - more about the island's history, traditional crafts such as pottery & textiles, perhaps a lesson in karate - so many possibilities!
